Planning Fee Policy 

​​At Tide & Table Travel, each trip is custom‑designed around your tastes, timing, and budget—not pulled from a template. To protect the time and expertise that go into this work, we charge a professional Planning Fee before beginning the curation process.

What the Planning Fee Is

​

• The Planning Fee is $200.00 USD, charged per itinerary.

• It is non‑refundable and not applied to the cost of your trip.

• It compensates Tide & Table Travel for professional time, research, and specialized expertise in designing your custom itinerary, whether or not you ultimately choose to book travel.​

What the Planning Fee Includes

​

Your Planning Fee covers the full Custom Itinerary Planning process, including:

• Consultation & Discovery

  • Up to two (2) dedicated planning and discovery calls (up to 60 minutes each) to understand your travelers, dates, budget, and priorities (luxury, food, and soft‑adventure focus).​

• Itinerary Design

  • Creation of up to two (2) comprehensive itinerary proposals for a trip of approximately 7–10 days, tailored to your preferences and requirements.​

• Revisions

  • Up to two (2) full itinerary revisions following the initial proposal presentation to refine the details until you’re confident in the plan.​

• Supplier Research & Coordination

  • Research, quoting, and communication with third‑party suppliers (hotels, resorts, tour operators, transportation providers, etc.) required to design your voyage.​

 

 

This fee is for the design and planning service only. All actual travel components (air, hotels, cruises, tours, transfers, etc.) are quoted separately and require additional payment when you decide to book.​

When the Planning Fee Is Due

​

• The $200 Planning Fee must be paid in full before Tide & Table Travel begins any research, design work, or supplier contact on your behalf.​

• Payment of the Planning Fee, along with signing the Custom Itinerary Planning Agreement, confirms your acceptance of these terms.​

Non‑Refundable Nature of the Fee

​

By moving forward, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The Planning Fee is non‑refundable, under all circumstances.​

• The fee is retained in full by Tide & Table Travel even if:

  • You cancel the trip.

  • You choose not to book travel after receiving your proposal.

  • You book the trip through another source.

• The Planning Fee does not reduce the cost of your travel arrangements and is not credited toward any future trips.​

Changes After Planning
 

• Your proposal includes up to two (2) full itinerary revisions as part of the Planning Fee.​

• If you request material changes after these revisions have been used (such as changing dates, destinations, or major trip elements), an additional service fee of $50 per change may apply to cover administrative time.​

Our Role as Your Travel Advisor

Tide & Table Travel acts as an independent travel advisor, arranging services with third‑party suppliers such as airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, and transportation providers. While we carefully select partners, we do not control their operations and are not responsible for acts, errors, or omissions on their part or for events beyond our control (such as weather, delays, or political events).​

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment; insurance is not included in the Planning Fee.
